What is a Dual Shade?

A dual shade operates like a rollershade with horizontal pieces of sheer that you can tilt to achieve your desired amount of openness. With a dual shade you can achieve varying dimensions of light. You can adjust the shade to align the solid bands and gain full privacy and UV protection, or adjust the solid bands for partial privacy while the sheer portion is open and providing some UV protection.

These shades often go by many different names which can be quite confusing to consumers. Whether you call them Dual shades, Zebra shades, Banded Shades, Concept Dual Shadings etc.. we know what you mean!

What are my options?

Chose your band width

Would you like 2 1/2″, 3 1/2″ or 4 1/2″. We often take into consideration the window that the dual shade will be going on as well as other window coverings. 

Choose your opacity

Do you want light to softly filter into the room when the shade is closed or would you prefer to dim the room slightly? Do you want to sleep in the room where the shades will be installed? If so, you might want to consider a dual shade option which features a separate room darkening roller shade at the back of the shade.

Choose your fabric

With numerous fabrics to choose from featuring lovely colors, textures and patterns; we have a large selection for you to browse. We have many decorative styles with gorgeous colour palettes that will compliment any decor.

Choose your operation

How do you want to operate these shades? Choose from continuous cordloop, retractable cord, battery wand operation or motorization.
